Covalus was engaged to provide Owner’s Representative services for the new $614 million Residential Colleges and West End Neighborhood program. This program, being implemented from 2017 to 2023, is the largest capital program undertaken in the University’s nearly 150-year history and replaces aging residence halls with innovative residential colleges. The project includes over 600,000 SF of student residential colleges designed with student living spaces, dining spaces, courtyards, and a theater. The project also beautifies the West End area of the campus, creating a park-like setting by eliminating vehicular traffic and creating paved walkways.
